Strong ale brewed with honey and marionberries aged in bourbon barrels.
Enter level II clearance - Arizona’s Superstition Meadery runs the gauntlet on high scores in the mead area. Our mead-inspired combo breaker is a concentrated punch of sweetness drawn out across a thick, viscous body. Arizona wildflower honey succumbs to the tart brightness of marionberries with bruleed sugar barrel finish. End transmission.

Oxford tastings; vintage 2017
Brown color with red hue, no head. Very good aroma, intense, malt, red fruits, a bit vinous, alcohol. Syrupy and oily mouthfeel, viscous, very sweet, with strong malt flavor, and raspberry jam, vinous in the middle, honey depth, and warming alcohol in the final.
I like the balance of sugars and alcohol. Unbalanced syrup, but excellent drink.

Dark brown, without a head. The aroma is dark toasted notes, brown sugars, a bit of booziness. Sweet, quite fruity, good complexity too. This is much brighter on the palate than on the nose. Deep orchard fruits, berries, and a rich dark sugar character. This is really nice - burly, strong, sweet and complex.

500mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is intense, with loads of marionberries, honey, and incredibly rich, deep bourbon barrels. Flavour is incredibly rich and complex, with lots of deep marionberries, honey, and complex bourbon barrels. Wonderful contribution from the honey, which blends beautifully with the marionberries and bourbon barrels. Rich and warming. Wonderful.

Bottle thanks to Mike. Pours a dark purple brown with small off white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is honey, berries, wood, bourbon. Medium body, dark fruit, vanilla, berries, nice boozy finish, very good.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours dark berry color with a transient tannish head. Aroma of dark berry, wood and bourbon. Med + body. Flavor is sweet berry, a little chocolate, some bourbon, a little heat, some pretty dark, treacly malt, and a lot of flavor. Certainly not dry, and not too bitter, but very flavorful.
