On cask at 4% as Carter’s House Ale at Carter’s Tap. Appearance - deep amber to red with a decent head. Nose - red fruits and fudge. Taste - red fruits, light butterscotch or at least caramel. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - solid but could be cleaner.

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Toasted, slight herbal malty. Bitter, herbal, dry and toasted malty. Bitter and herbsl dry into the finish.

Cask at the Old Wheatsheaf, Frimley Green, as Old Wheatsheaf Celebration Ale. Copper with a tight cream head; malty aroma; nutty malt taste; and a biscuity finish. Indifferent and instantly forgetable.

As "Eagle DNA" - Light brown colour. Balanced malty taste, light fruitiness, some raisin. Smooth. A decent bitter.

Cask pint, beer named as "Ye Olde Talbot Ale", in the Greene King Inn of the same name. Not sure how they can say its "Specially Selected" as by all accounts, each Greene King pub has this under a different name. At 3.9% it’s an easy to drink bitter, but nothing to write home about.

Som Assembly House Beer Landlords Choice. Assembly House, Kentish Town 6 Nov 12. Gyldenbrun. Lavt skum. OK fruktaroma. Svisker & druer. Smaken litt tung frukt - allikevel litt vassen. Blir vel søt i ettersmaken.

Half-pint from cask at Assembly House. Amber coloured body, spotty lacing, no head. Modest malt-fruity aroma. Caramel malts and lemony hops leading to a bittersweet ending. Standard Brit bitter (London, 06.11.2012).
