Cask at Black Bull, Corbridge as "Up the Wall". Amber colour, white foam head leaving lacing and fruity, malty nose. Taste is malt, toffee, caramel, boiled sweets, fruity, alittle orange citrus and biscuit, with bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. OK.

Cask at the Three Wise Monkeys, Colchester. Pours dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of light malt and caramel, but rather weak. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Light body andthin texture. Carbonation is soft. Not nice, wish I’d asked who the brewer was before ordering ’Three Wise Monkeys’.

[ As Greene King Kew True Brew ].Clear medium amber orange color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. On cask at 4% as Carter’s House Ale at Carter’s Tap. Appearance - deep amber to red with a decent head. Nose - red fruits and fudge. Taste - red fruits, light butterscotch or at least caramel. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - solid but could be cleaner.
