Inspired by a mind blowing dessert created by a Nordic eatery that popped up in the middle of the Mexican jungle. Pasilla mixe chiles, honey, cocoa nibs and tangerine peel. It’s wild. Oh yeah, baby.

Flavoured 'impy' with chili, honey, cocoa and tangerine peel, a collab between Evil Twin and Jackie O's so this can hardly go wrong... Thanks Eddy for sharing. Bubbly, rather loosely knit, pale beige, opening head over a jet black beer. Intense bouquet of vanilla, hot chocolate sauce, coffee cream, marmalade, toffee, cognac, hazelnut paste, raisins, wet toast, bitter black chocolate, kahlua. Sweetish onset, raisins and figs, apple peel touch somewhere, light beef broth-like umami accent, soft carb, very thick and oily, 'fat' mouthfeel. Thoroughly chocolatey, rich, toffeeish malt sweet body with toasty bittering edges but the sweetness (also from the honey I suppose) prevails; vanilla- and indeed chili-like accents in the finish yet no harsh chili heat, warming rum-like alcohol, candied citrus peel note, black bitter chocolate lingering. Every bit as rich, overwhelming and luscious as expected.

Can: Charred oak, hazelnut, orange nose. Black, medium brown head. Cocoa, raisin, chili pepper. Medium body, soft carbonation, fairly strong. Very hot, almost uncomfortably so. Not the hottest I've ever had, but among the hottest.

Can, 0.355l. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, tangerine and grass with light metallic note. Pours almost black color with large frothy brown head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with sweet and rich roasted malt, chocolate and ash, follows by chili, vegetables and faint citrus, mouthfeel is mild spicy and warm alcoholic, while finish is medium bitter. Full body, thick creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Chili’n’ the jungle...

12 oz can from Beercraft, shared with Buckeyeboy. Not getting any of the chilies referred to by the other raters. Mild chocolate and some of the orange peel, mostly dry, roasty malts. Was expecting something a bit more exciting based on the description. Sounds like the previous users got it. A dud, perhaps? Thought these two brewers would make it a big beer....

Can. Black colour, small brown head that quickly disappears without any trace. Nose is quite much cocoa, a bit of orange peel. Burns throat with chilli, so I cannot say whether it is bitter or sweet. Torture. I wasn't able to finish even the half.
