On tap at Capital Ale House - Downtown on 08/18/2009. Dark black body with a thin brown head. Big coffee, whiskey, caramel, chocolate, roast and vanilla aroma. Burnt roast, lots of coffee, whiskey, vanilla, oak, rum-soaked fruit flavor. Full body with moderately low carbonation.

Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a very dark brown color with a thin head. Huge whisky notes in the aroma along with maple, vanilla and lightly roasted malts. Taste is roasted malts, maple, raisins, coffee, whisky and a lightly hopped finish. Big alcohol warmth. Med-full bodied. Oily glass-coating texture.

Atlanta Cask Ale tasting ’07 Pours black with a small brown head. Coffee and whiskey dominate the aroma. Smooth with a sweet whiskey finish. One of the better ones at the tasting, Well balanced as all of the aroma and flavor components have a chance to play here with none overpowering another.
