Tasting is believing! Oak aging took this brew took this brew to a new level. It’s hard to believe the bourbon wasn’t accidentally left in.

Bottle from Queen City on 03/17/2009. Clear dark amber body with ruby highlights and a large frothy off-white head. Caramel, butterscotch, fruit, and light vanilla aroma. Sweet caramel flavor with some faint butterscotch and vanilla, light fruit and a bit of very faint oak. Medium body with moderate caronation.

12oz bottle-pours a dissipating tan head and deep red/mahogany color. Aroma is rough bourbon, medium malt-caramel, tart fruit. Taste is tart fruit, some malt, acidic. Thanks decaturstevo for picking this out.

Twelve ounce bottle from the brewery. Pours a dark, clear mahogany color with a medium head. Poor head retention and thin wisps of lacing. Aroma is roasted malts, vanilla and a subtle hint of bourbon. The taste has more bourbon presence, along with caramel, roasted malts and some subtle hops. Medium bodied.
