What’s that cooling on the windowsill? Why, the latest lip-puckering pastry creation from Alchemik’s pie shop, of course – and be warned – this one’s a doozy!
The alluring odour of freshly baked shortcrust pastry lifts you up off the ground and reels you in like a retro cartoon character. But you’ll have to take a bite (or sip) to meet the star of the show – a sweet, sticky and seriously sour filling of raspberries and blackberries supported by three types of vanilla and our signature spice blend of cinnamon, cardamom, and just a dash of ginger.

Can with and courtesy of Grumbo. Aroma of pastry, spice, cake, almond, berries and vanilla. Taste of berry, jelly, yoghurt and quite tart. More tart than sour.

23/11/2024. Can from Two Brews, Colchester. Pours unclear deep reddish purple with a short lasting frothy pink head. Aroma is blackberry, raspberry, cinnamon, shortbread, pie crust, vanilla. Medium sweetness, quite tart. Moderate body, average carbonation. Nice long fruity berry tart finish. Very nice.

Well made beer. Exsctly as they want, and straddles the line perfectly on fruity and somewhat sour. Craft draft ams.
