BARREL-AGED BELGIAN TRIPEL. Our Day Tripper Belgian Tripel - already a heady beer at 8.2% but brimming with bright floral and tropical fruity notes – spent it’s a secondary fermentation on lightly charred imported French oak and local Guava wood that itself spent weeks soaking in Kentucky Rye Bourban. Rye spice and Belgian phenolic spice, coconut lactones from the wood and pineapple esters from our yeast strain… The flavour and aroma interactions are intense and endless.

8/1/2020. Bottle from BEEReaucracy, Davao City. Pours amber copper with minimal head. Aroma of wood, yeast, toffee, malt, dried pineapple, bread, light tropical fruits plus a touch of sherry more so than bourbon. Medium plus sweetness, low bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, soft to flat carbonation. Sweet, cloying finish.
