Bottle from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn, and shared at the 3rd Ipswich bottle share. Pours very dark hazy brown with a big frothy off-white head, carefully avoiding the bottle sediment of which there was a lot. Aroma of chocolate and hop. Light sweetness and bitterness, nice mix. Medium body and texture is rather thin. Highly carbonation. Too fizzy. Finish is dry with a long lasting raosted bitterness. Decent potential, would like to try in cask to compare.

Hamilton Hall Spoons. Clear dark brown beer, tiny pale tan head. Palate is light and dry with mild fine carbonation. Very lighttouhc of dark malts but there is detectable roast and coffee. Mild pine hops and a touch of sweeter fruits. Finishes dry. It’s a well flavoured mild black ipa but a bit too dry.
