Dark Tides is our Vegan Chocolate Stout made with 100% fair trade, single origin liquid cacao from coastal Esmeraldas, Ecuador. We have doubled up on the chocolate flavour by adding 10% chocolate malt to the beer, this gives a deeper roasty luxury flavour. To avoid using lactose we have used unmalted barley and oats which give a fuller flavour to the beer, then a touch of vanilla was blended in to give the impression of sweetness. It's time to lap up the waves of chocolate!

11/9/2020. Can at the Gorzow GP bottle-share, from Hoppily, Leigh-on-Sea. Pours black with a bubbly beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit, touch of vanilla and earthy notes. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, but a bit too fizzy. Otherwise quite enjoyable.

Keg at lost in leith. Pours deep brown, nose is roasted, earthy, taste is bitter, grassy. --- Beer merged from original tick of Dark Tides - Vegan Chocolate Stout on 21 Nov 2020 at 16:52 - Score: 6

Keg at Bottle Grove Eastbourne. Some nice chock tastes but with a rather rough malty ending. One that's better when you're not focusing but still sessionable... Could have had another.
