A little extra umph on a traditional Irish stout. Chocolate, brown and roasted barley malts are layered to give a rich roasted flavour, then a secret amount of a Harris & James signature coffee blend is added to give it that distinct coffee aroma and taste, with a smooth and not too dry finish.

7/8/2021. Bottle bought at the brewery gate. Pours very dark mahogany brown with a small frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma of roasted coffee, roasted malt, ash, dark fruity notes. Moderate sweetness and medium roasted bitterness. Moderate body, oily watery texture, average carbonation. Good, one of their best.
