Lampblack is a roasty, chocolatey stout made up of 6 different malts. With hints of blackberry coming from the darker malts and Admiral hops, this beer is slightly fruity with an almost Dry Irish Stout finish.

Near black with a frothy tan head and roasted malt on the nose, and a hint of liquorice. Roasted malt, chocolate and that hint of liquorice carry through to the taste with a dry bitterness

3/9/2022. Draught at BrewDog, Norwich. Pours clear black with a small foamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, milk chocolate, milky coffee, hint of nut. Medium sweetness, light to moderate roasted bitterness. Moderate body, quite smooth, soft carbonation. Nicely done, and interesting how the BrewDog tap dispensed this very differently to what previous cask and can drinkers encountered.

440ml can from Brewer - Murky ugly as fuck black body, not much head. Nose very dusty dry roasted notes, coffee, dark chocolate. Taste is dry and roasted, smoky malts. Solid enough stout.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby Pours a murky chocolate brown with minimal beige head – looks revolting ! Aroma is of milky chocolate. In the mouth texture is creamy with flavours of dark fruts, dandelion / burdock, chocolate and hints of apple. Fruityness carries through to the finish. This is really nice, but doesn’t have much of a “stouty” character (too fruity).
