This Imperial Porter is delicious, smooth and luxurious. Sweet, warming stone fruit undertones and hints of liquorice lead to a dry, lasting finish.
Inspired by a Lacons recipe from 1840 to commemorate the world's first postage stamp, The Penny Black.

3/3/2023. Cask at the 46th Loughborough Beer Festival. Pours almost black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, liquorice, molasses, chocolate, caramac, boozy notes. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Quite full bodied, sticky, soft carbonation. Slight meaty finish. Solid. Also 3/1/2026. Bottle. 8.4% abv. Shared by ITFCfan. See photo.
