27/1/2023. Cask at the 14th Colchester Winter Ale Festival. Pours almost black with a small frothy beige head. Aroma of chocolate, ash, liquorice, light roasted malt, dark fruits and cherry. Moderate sweetness, bitterness and body. Slightly creamy, soft carbonation. Quite decent.

Cask at Colchester Winter Ale Festival 2023. Dark maroon brown color, light tan head with decent retention. Dark chocolate aroma. Taste is lightly sweet lightly earthy cocoa. Tasty stuff.
