A historic saison style beer made with calendula and homegrown yarrow flowers yielding a hugely aromatic brew that’s dry and bitter. It’s an excellent aperitif and always ready about a month and a half after the first spring yarrow flowers.

Bottle thanks to Suzygreenberg. Pours a cloudy gold with a very thick white heads that lasts and laces nicely. Aroma has strong notes of citrus, flora and some earthy yeast notes. Flavor begins with a nice floral and citrus notes and finishes with a nice earthy note.

Good, whipped eggwhtie-like head, stable over hazy orange-amberish beer, well-carbonated. Very floral nose indeed, bit of honey and vegetal acids. Spicy, wild fruit, and fermented honey, as very watered-down mead. Dry apples, wry ones. Medicinal/ginger flavour with every new sip. Refreshing, spritzy summerdrink. Tastes more alcoholic than expected from its claimed ABV. Nice, very drinkable but not really special light beer. But definitely rare - many thanks to DonS!

750 ml bottle graciously sent my way by bvc. Pour is a cloudy orange yellow golden with a nice firm 2 inch white head. Aroma of pineapple citrus fruit, citric wheat and a nice light earth yeastiness. Taste is the nose, with the sweet citrus fruit up front followed closely by a nice citric wheat body. Yeast kicks in the finish with floral notes, some clove, some more citric wheat and finally the aftertaste has the citrus fruit again. Nice transitions of flavor. Palate is medium, very drinkable - particularly as an accompaniment to Thanksgiving dinner. Aftertaste is a touch muddled between the fruit and yeast, otherwise quite nice. Thanks Brandon, you are always super generous and certainly know what types of beers I like.
