330ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - cheers Graham!]. Jet black colour with average, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Roasty, slightly chocolately, dark malty, slightly yeasty spicy and minimally yeasty fruity aroma, some chocolate, cocoa, a touch of plum, dark berries, black pepper, dust. Taste is sweet-ish, roasty and chocolately, dark malty, notes of molasses, milk chocolate; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, medium to fine, soft carbonation. A bit raw and dirty - not bad.

Panda at home, thanks to Graham Grumbo, 07/03/24. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a thin khaki head that dissipates edgewards. Nose is roast malts, treacle toffee, dark fruit rinds, cake mix, sultanas, raisins. Taste comprises toffee, charr, roasted bite, cocoa sprinkle, light spice, dates, brown bread, figs, light smoke. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced spike of alcohol. Tidy impy stout ... no frills, straight up and old skool.

4/2/2024. Bottle bought at the Brewery tap. Pours very dark mahogany brown with a small foamy beige coloured head. Aroma is black treacle, liquorice, roasted malts, dark chocolate, molasses, ash, dark fruits, smoky coffee edge. Moderate sweetness, medium to heavy roasted bitterness, just a hint of fruity tart. Medium body, quite smooth, average carbonation. Bitter chocolate roasted finish. Developed well in the glass.
