Bottle shared at the 2015 edition of the chriso Pre-GBBF tasting - London. Cheers! Pours mostly clear brown-black with a creamy, beige head. Meaty aroma, with lots of dark malts, light metal, roast. Medium sweet flavour with ashy roast, baking cocoa, scorched earth. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Rich dark malts in the finish, with more bitter chocolate. Nice stuff.

Bottle at Pre-GBBF Shindig 2015. It pours near black / darkest brown with a tiny beige head. The nose is soft, rich roasted maltage, earth, coffee, toasted sugars and sweet caramel. The taste is sweet, oily, boozy warmth, earthy roast, charred wood, umami, maltesers, dark fruit and toffee with a warming finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. A bit sweet and charry. Alright I suppose.

Pre GBBF tasting at Chris and Ruth’s. Almost opaque brown - amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and smooth and semi dry. Dark chocolate malts, some Malteasers in there! Trace of tangy dark fruits. Whisper of spice. Light finish. Decent.
