Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates completely. Aroma has bitter dark grains and light roasted malts with an earthy pine backbone. Flavor is thin with dark grains, pine and a hint of roast.

Pours a deep, dark, coffee-brown, with large, fluffy, off-white head (almost reminds me of a Guinness head). Aroma marked by hops and roasted malt. Flavor is a very smooth combination of hop bitterness and roasted grain, coffee, leather, toast. Very nice Black IPA.
