Please enjoy this convenient distraction from your daily life. We sure enjoyed taking a break from our everyday "grind" one afternoon at the brewery to meet a very passionate local coffee roaster who was interested in a possible collaboration. This is the result an imperial porter brewed with Madagascar vanilla beans and Ruby Roasters coffee.

Bottle from Flask. Black with a small brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, heavy coffee and vanilla. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and roasted rather bitter finish with a little warming alcohol. Oily and smooth. More carbonated than most imperial porters/stouts but that doesn’t detract for me. 170916

Bottle. Pours black with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of coffee with a bit of green pepper backed by bitter dark grains and roasted malts. Flavor has coffee and some sweet dark grains with a bit of green pepper and a bit thin up front.

Snifter, tap at Oso. Really nice chocolate coffee aroma. Sweet coffee chocolate vanilla flavors. Sweet, but not overbearing in the body, still has some nice oily Porter tones. The coffee is quite pronounced. Quality offering. A touch sweetish, extract. Enjoyable.

Pours a dark brown color with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Roast malt, coffee and dark chocolate in the nose. Medium to full-bodied with flavors of roasted coffee, chocolate malt and vanilla. The finish is sweet with a vanilla mocha aftertaste. Above average overall.
