Foolery is a huge Imperial Stout aged for eight months in bourbon barrels. Massive chocolate, vanilla, and caramel flavors are preceded by aromatic hints of dark cherry, tobacco, leather and oak. Thick and rich, Foolery brings rounded bourbon character contributions from the barrels and a nice warming finish.

Bottle shared by Benzai, packaged 03/29/16, 25 cl sample. Dark color, short frothy head. Aroma of dark roast, booze, bourbon vanilla sweetness, bit cookie. Quite boozy in taste as well, lots of roasty bitterness, cookie sweetness. A big sipper, but after a few other beers, not a big problem. Loved it.

5oz draft pour, plus some additional oz from others - at Sehkraft Brewing. Poured a nearly pitch black color with a small wispy head. Aroma was roasted chocolate - lots of dark chocolate here. Lots of roast here. Light dried fruit sweetness, dark chocolate. Alcohol is present, but not overpowering for such a high ABV. Really solid.

Thanks Dave for sharing the bottle! Poured into a snifter showing a pitch black center with red wine rims and no head. The nose shows a strong brandy forwardness with light apples. The palate is full bodied and lightly carbonated, with a big oily slick body. Strong but muted brandy forwardness with apples in the background.
