Pours a deep, dark, cola-black, with smallish tan head. Aroma is chocolate and burned toast. Flavor is a bitter chocolate, with some burnt toast and smoked malt. Mouthfeel is rather thin. I'm amazed this isn't sweeter than it is, given Drekker's track record with fruit beers...

Pint can from Niemuth's, 2/2/23. Near black, three finger tan head (a bit of a vigourous pour), average retention. Aroma of roast, lactose, leather, earth, dark chocolate. Taste is roast, chocolate, nuts, lactose, smoke. Slick, well balanced. Nice.

On tap at Drekker - Brewhalla, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bitter cocoa nibs and light toasted malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with bitter, dry cocoa nibs upfront and some lactose. Bitter and easy, but not interesting.

On tap at Sickie’s. Pours black with a light brown head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma is full of roasted malts and dark chocolate with bitter dark grains backing. Flavor is full of bitter chocolate with dark grains and a bit of roasted malts growing through the finish.
