From cask at the Maldon Beer & Cider Festival with Terje 25.04.22. Clear golden. White head and lacing. Harsh and taste of grass, chives, bot-myrtle and pale malt. Not great.

Half-pint, cask at the Railway Tavern in Chelmsford. Shared with Finn. Covering pearl white head, spotty lacing, clear warm golden body. Promising smell of dried fruits and bread-like malts. Blended taste character with impacts of toffee, dried fruits, and biscuit. Ends bittersweet. Medium bodied. Likable. (Chelmsford 23.11.2021).

500ml bottle from the brewery. The aroma is gluey malt, paint stripper, floral hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a yeasty, generally unpleasant, floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. I’m not sure what’s wrong with this brewery right now but almost all of their beers that I have drunk over the last couple of weeks have been a massive disappointment.

28/1/2020. Bottle direct from the brewery. Pours clear amber / light bronze with an average size off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, fruit, hops, flowers, touch of biscuit, caramel and hedgerow. Medium plus sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Very slight fruity tart finish. Quite an interesting brew.
