Can. Black beer with a light brown head. Light roast aroma. Roast and light chocolate flavor with light coffee. Medium bodied. Roast and light coffee linger with light chocolate and light caramel.

Can pour from Valley Beverage, Sherman Oaks. It's an opaque black with no sparkle, finger-width light brown head with poor retention and light lacing. Aroma is strong roasted earthy malts (on border of burning rubber/industrial) and minerals. Taste follows aroma with toffee and hint of anise. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and dry finish. Overall, drinks more like a Dry/Irish stout. Taste is superior to aroma. Bought it as much for the name as anything.
