On tap at Kings Beer & Wine, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out plenty of vanilla and cocoa upfront, with a hint of nutmeg. Flavour is attenuated reasonably, with lots of vanilla and cocoa upfront, again accentuated by nutmeg. Roast character is subdued. Good, but underwhelming for an AleSmith impie.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours black with a chocolate brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a lot of nutmeg with vanilla and a bit of chocolaty dark grains underlying. Flavor also has a lot of nutmeg as well as some chocolate and vanilla backing.
