Bottle at the IP2 bottle share, from Total Wine & More, Miami. Region #105. Pours pale gold with a white head. Aroma of sour fruit, yeast, grapefruit and wheat. Light sweetness, medium to heavy bitterness, light sourness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Finish is tart and slightly peppery. Enjoyed this.

750 ml corked and caged bottle from Pilgrim’s. Batch #2, bottled in December of 2014, about two and a half years ago. Aroma is Bretty, dusty, grapefruit, apricot, floral, chalky candy, oak, vanilla. Pours hazy yellow with a thick white soapy head with good retention and some lace. Taste is lightly tart and dry, finishing pithy and bitter. Mouthfeel is highly carbonated, a little thin. Aroma is more impressive than flavor. Nice beer, but not quite as good as I was hoping. 8,4,7,3,16

Poured from a batch 1, 2014 bottle. Aroma is full of bright grapefruit notes, though they are starting to dull. Some light peppercorn notes with a light floral note. Hints of grain and oak. Pours a somewhat clear, bright yellow-gold with a medium sized, medium thick, white head that recedes quickly to the edges where a thin film lingers for quite some time. Light lacing and faint legs. Flavor has a moderate acidity with a light sweetness and dry finish. Lots of grapefruit peels and juice. Some light peppercorn notes with some coriander phenolic notes and hints of lemongrass. Low bitterness with faint floral notes. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice beer with a lot of grapefruit notes. Some floral and herbal notes. The age is dulling the brightness a bit, but it’s still very nice and refreshing.

Sample @ SBWF. The usual Anchorage stuff going on here... Dry and hoppy with notes of lime and berry seeds.

Bottle: Poured a dirty amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of grapefruit notes with light rustic cereal notes is quiet nice. Taste is dominated by more grapefruit notes then I was expecting with some rustic cereal notes and light herbal notes. Peppercorn were not that identifiable. Body was full with good carbonation. Super enjoyable saison with nice refreshing notes of grapefruit.

0.75l corked bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This is a cloudy almost yellow golden colored one, a big nice bright white head placed on the top that's leaving lots of nice lacework down the sides of the glass. Smells nice. Apply and rhubarb sourish. Tones of yeast, a fair amount of citrussy hops. It's a little spicy in a way. Traces if wood also. Yellow on the nose. Like it. It has a nice just below average small bubbled carbonation level and a good oily texture. Lots of citrussy tones in the taste. It's really bitter this. Grapefruit zest and traces of kiwi sourness. Really interesting, ends in a dry tail and aftertaste. Like it. 18.07.2015

Bottle. Pours hazy golden, medium white head, dissipates slowly with nice residual and lacing. Aroma is Brett and passionfruit, grapefruit. Wow those hops have held up amazingly well in the nose at least. Flavor is dry, medium funky, hint of tartness, fruity, but more dusty and funky than the nose would imply. I guess here is where the age has caught up to her; leaching out some of the bright hops to be replaced with dry Bretty funk. Not a bad tradeoff in the end. Medium body, soft carbonation. Tasty beer, but then I have a total soft spot for Anchorage.
