Pours a hazy amber, with minimal head. Aroma has a lot of caramel, some tropical fruit. a hint of alcohol. Flavor is quite sweet. There are tropical fruits, a bit of caramel, more than a little licorice flavor, a fairly strong boozy flavor, some hop spruce/pine. Could use a bit more balance away from the sweet side. Not terrible.

Very malty and resiny, though the hops seem a bit old. Appearance is good with head and lace.

Hazy amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is light and slightly soft but it has food fine minerally carbonation. Sweetish caramelly malts, soft malt cream. Nice marmalade. Decent hop spice. Ripe orange. Tangy marmalade. Light semi dry finish. A bit more malty then many modern DIPAs but this is quite nicely balanced and is very drinkable. It also ended up in my bread making machine!

Pours amber, some lightly beige foam. Aroma has some prickly hops, sweetish and a bit caramelly. Hops do not feel overly fresh but still piney. Taste is quite full, bitterness is there, pine needles. Overall malt body still dominates, maybe hops are already faded a bit, so it does feel more like a hoppy barley wine than a double IPA. Anyhow, good beer, just not getting as big hop kick out of here as I was hoping to get.
