This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a dark hazy burnt brown color with a thin film of a white head. Light messy lacing here and there.
The smell had some pine coated caramel malts. Semi-thick. Light toffee, somewhat dry.
The taste was moderately sweet carrying the malts to bring the caramel and toffee forward. Pine tries to balance but has a dry aftertaste and leads into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sipping to sessionable quality about it. Carbonation feels fine.
Overall, I say this was a decent DIPA, nothing special but not bad.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Hoboken Vine, 2/24/16

Aroma: Sticky caramel malts, some earth, and a decent amount of pine as well
Appearance: Pours reddish-amber with a small beige head that leaves spotty lace
Flavor: Tastes malty / sticky sweet, a bit of boozy flavor, and a fairly bitter close
Palate: The mouthfeel is on the fuller side, pretty sticky, with an average-plus carbonation
Overall Impression: Not my favorite IPA. From this hops-by-numbers series Rogue Farms is putting out, I've had the 6, the 7 (from the earlier go round), and now the 8, and the 8 is by far my least favorite. I'll have to try the 4 at some point, and the 1-3 and 5 if they come out in the future.

Bomber. Pours a deep copper color with a big, long lasting beige head. Aroma is a bit sweet, but there is def some pine notes in there. Taste is a bit malt forward, making this the maltiest in the series. Caramel sweetness mixed with piney resin. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not overly bitter. Pretty good overall.

22 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy orange color. Frothy beige head with clinging lace. Earthy, toasted caramel malt nose. Some floral and fruity hops in bouquet. Big toasted malt flavor has earthy, nutty caramel notes. The spicy combination of hops comes full circle, bringing notes of citrus fruit, peppercorns, lemon verbena and vanilla bean.

On tap at the brewery tap Sf. Hazed orange amber coloured pour with a sticky off white head. Aroma is caramel, sticky toffee, some orange rind. Flavour is malt forward, toffee, caramel, plum, cakey, some toasted pine. Not very hoppy. I’m wondering if I’ve served the correct beer. Palate is medium sweet, chewy , frothy carbonation. Lingering toffee and pine.
