Here is a beer with a strong character! Its intense taste subtly blends the roundness of caramel and the strength of more roasted malts. The bitterness tends towards subtle aromas of red fruits to balance this unique tasting beer!

4/VIII/20 - 33cl bottle @ Fred’s Social Distancing BBQ, BB: IV/2021 (2020-721) Thanks to Fred for sharing the bottle!

Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: very spicy, weird, some caramel, herbal. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, bit sweet, liquorice, soft roast, hint of mocha. Aftertaste: oxidized, dried fruits, soft roast, some tobacco leaves, little bitter, some caramel.

Disappointing, probably a bit due to mishandling. But it’s certainly a bit soured, which can’t be excused. The body is this and imbalanced. If the same beer was brewed properly and handled well it could be great. Online saveur bier

Normal.

Mom brought this one back from a trip to France +++ Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very dark brown - almost black color with orange highlights and a large creamy beige head that lingered and left exceptional lacing. The aroma was dryish and malty with notes of black licorice, cherry and malted milk. The flavor was tart, bitter and very medicinal with notes of cherry, wood, red wine and a vague herbal presence. Long finish with a growing medicinal presence that overwhelmed. Each sip became worse than the one before. Medium body. Awful.
