Nitro sample at the taproom. Black pour with a medium thick frothy tan head that diminishes gradually to a film. Patchy lace. Aroma of coffee, malt and vanilla. Medium body with flavors of roasted coffee, earthy malt and vanilla. The finish is creamy and sweet with a vanilla and coffee aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Draft. Black beer with a tan head. Coffee and roast aroma. Coffee and light vanilla flavor with light roast. Medium-plus bodied. Coffee and vanilla linger with caramel.

On tap at Fall, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of earthy coffee upfront, followed by vanilla beans. Flavour follows accordingly, with a rich body of lightly earthy, moderately roasted coffee, accentuated by vanilla beans. Complex and richly layered. Lovely.

Taster at Belching Beaver Vista. Almost Black with little offwhite head. Coffee aroma and taste. Can't make out The vanilla!

Draft @ the brewery. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate licorice aroma. Roasted malty chocolate coffee flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

On tap at the brewery. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of light roasted malt, coffee, some dark chocolate and hints of caramel. Similar taste. The body was almost full and the finish quite long. A nice one.
