We at Amundsen believe that summer is not a season, but a state of mind. To help get you into that summer state of minde we have concocted a supremely refreshing libation, showering warm rays of sunshine upon your pallet. Beerfoot is a saison made with fresh grapefruit juice and citrus forward American hops. The result is a beer that will turn your snow boots into flip flos or your flip flops into bare feet. Beerfoot Saison pairs best with eggs benedict after a night of skinny dipping in the Oslofjord.

Can online from Hoptimism. Pours hazy yellow golden with a a white head. Big aromas of saison yeast & grapefruit. The taste doesn’t match up to the aroma, it’s moderate sweet, with saison yeast, light grapefruit, light spice, a little hay. Medium bodied, soft carb, dryish mineral laden finish. All in all a bit wishy washy

From can contributed by lead trumpet player OE at OSB 06.12.17. Cloudy pale straw colour. Foamy off-white head. Not much lacing. Refreshing aroma and taste of grapefruit, lime, passion fruit, lemongrass and pilsner malt. Dry and crisp.

Draught @ Fermentoren Aarhus, Nørregade 24, DK-8000 Aarhus, Denmark. [ As Amundsen Beerfoot ].Light unclear light to medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, herbs, moderate yeasty, saison yeast, fruity yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, fruity yeast, saison yeast, herbs, citric. Can from Beer 52. Light yellow colour, big white. Aroma has grapefruit, more on the aroma than the taste. Bittersweet taste. Slightly thin body.

Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Nice head with good duration. Color is yellow. Aroma and taste are citrus, fruits, malt, light acid, hops and has a light bitter light sour finish.

Tap @ Fermentoren Aarhus, 4.7%. Hazy yellow with small white head. Aroma is malt, yeast, spices, little banana and fruit peel. Flavour is malt, fruit, yeast, zest, spices, fruit peel, medium sweet and a little bitter.

330 ml can, as Amundsen Barefoot Grapefruit Saison, from Helgø Meny Maxi, Sandnes. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly hazy pale yellow colour, moderate white head. Distinct aroma of grapefruit. Grapefruity flavour too, also some spicy saison yeast, moderate bittering hops.

Draft at the Kings Arms Bethnal Green. This was drunk well into the session and it doesn’t particularly stand out in my memory. It was a good beer, but not memorable.
