Grapefruit Saison.
We at Amundsen believe that summer is not a season, but a state of mind. To help get you into that summer state of minde we have concocted a supremely refreshing libation, showering warm rays of sunshine upon your pallet. Beerfoot is a saison made with fresh grapefruit juice and citrus forward American hops. The result is a beer that will turn your snow boots into flip flos or your flip flops into bare feet. Beerfoot Saison pairs best with eggs benedict after a night of skinny dipping in the Oslofjord.

Hazy yellow beer, thin white head. Light bready aroma of hoppy citrus.Taste is dry, bitter but ultimately slightly watery grapefruit, yeast and a very light hint of a tangy, spicy finish. Not bad but not much bite to it.

7 3 7 3 14 Draft shared at Kaisla, Helsinki. Very hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of lemon and lemon drops, a little weedy but it’s all about lemon! Flavour is light sweet and above light bitter. Light bodied with soft carbonation.

33cl can from Beer52.com. A hazy amber pour with a fast fading white head; musty damp straw aroma; rather thin in the mouth with a soapy texture, and a weak grapefruit taste; then a sweet grainy finish with some yeasty spice. Not something I’d try again.

Keg at Mother Kelly’s, 27/03/17. Hazed pale yellow with a decent white cap. Nose is pissy greapefruit zest, floral notes, citric tinged straw, grains. Taste comprises light white peppery spice, green berry zip, light funk, grapefruit evident, soft bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a sharp citric finale. Decent.
