We at Amundsen believe that summer is not a season, but a state of mind. To help get you into that summer state of minde we have concocted a supremely refreshing libation, showering warm rays of sunshine upon your pallet. Beerfoot is a saison made with fresh grapefruit juice and citrus forward American hops. The result is a beer that will turn your snow boots into flip flos or your flip flops into bare feet. Beerfoot Saison pairs best with eggs benedict after a night of skinny dipping in the Oslofjord.
MALT: Pilsner, Wheat

Bottle. A small, dense, light beige head forms over a hazy, orange colored body. The aroma is rather weak I think. Mostly on the fruity side, with some grapefruit notes and a touch of peppery yeast. It’s medium bodied, nicely carbonated and semi-dry, with a little bitterness in the back of the flavor. Fruityness, grapefruit, grape and honey melon, some spiced hints and a touch of malts too. Medium length finish with grapefruit dominating. Rather weak though, just as the initial flavor. A quite disappointing one, lacking on both depth, complexity and more-ness. 161126

500 ml bottle. Rather clear golden body with a short living, small white head. Aroma has some grapefruit and hint of pale malt, Flavoris sweet fruity, some grapefruit and slightly harsh. Medium body and short aftertaste. Not much Saison qualities here, feels a bit unbalanced and not a big hit in my book.

Lys brun klar med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter anis, grapefrukt og noe fersken. Litt anis også i smak, søtlig kort bitterhet i avslutningen.

Refreshing in the summer sun. Sadly enough Iceland lost today.
Hazy pale golden color with a fine white head. Ok lacing. Moderate intensity in the aroma. Semi dry and mild acidic. Medium body and an average carbonation. Yeast, citric and some spices in the flavor.

15.06.2016, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Small foamy shortlasting head. Aroma is dry floral, sawdust, minerals, sour grass, yeast, citrus peel, flowers, tea powder, leafs. Taste is slightly sour-ish floral, weeds, yeast, sour grass, minerals, sawdust, hay, flowers, winegum, bark, citrus peel. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh floral mouthfeel. Meh!
