[1/30/17] Draught at Black Hammer Brewing in San Francisco. Hazy golden. Black with a creamy tan head. Roast, a bit of alcohol, caramel, sweetish, bitterish finish.

Draft. Nitro. Mahogany beer with a dark nitro cream head. Roast aroma. caramel and light roast flavor with light chocolate. Medium bodied. Caramel and roast lingers.

On tap at the brewery. Dark mahogany brown with reddy hues and a steadfast creamy mid tan head. Aroma is nice chocolate, dry roast coffee, creamy, hint of strawberry. Flavour is composed of milky lactose sugars, woody chocolate, earth, cocoa, vanilla. Some fruity esters in the finish. Palate is creamy, smooth, low carbonation, slightly thin. Lingering wood tannin.
