Draught @ CBC 2016, Copenhagen. Pours orange with a small head. Aroma of caramely malts, pine, grass and citrus. Taste is sweetish, caramely and malty with some grass, pine, citrus and resin. Finish is sweetish, resinous and caramely malty. A bit too malty.

Tap@ CBC 2016. Pours amber color with a thin white head. Citrusy, fresh hoppy aroma. Flavor has sweetness, pine resin, grapefruit. Nice bitterness. Juicy.

[2/12/15] Draught at The Good Hop in Oakland. Clear golden. “Green” hops aroma, a bit leafy. Flavor has mild sweetness, “green” hops and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

From tap. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild pine and slight toasted malty. Bitter, slight herbal. Toasted malty and pine hoppy. Dry and bitter, herbal dry finish.

Draft. Amber beer with a low cream head. Big grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and pithy flavor with light pine and light earthiness. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Pithy grapefruit lingers with light pine.

Taster@Faction. This was my first Faction beer. As soon as the aroma touched my nose I thought I was in Alpine. Cool. Pours clear amber with a medium creamy off-white head that dissipates fairly quickly and leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is a bit light but it is that Alpine-esque perfect marriage of pine needles, grapefruit, and passionfruit that I love. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter, again very Pure-Hoppiness like but a bit harsher on the finish. Medium body, very creamy mouthfeel. Nice beer.
