Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours rather orange with a creamy white head. Strong citrus/pine aroma. Near cat pee. Med body or better. Flavor is caramel coated citrus; or is it citrus coated caramel? Lots of citrus. Touch of resin Mild hop burn. Seems to get a hint of earthy with time. Or my taster is being burned down. Excellent ale.

On tap at Ale Arsenal. Slight dank, moderate orange and overt tropical fruit aroma. Malt is solid wheatfield. Slight biscuit. Pours clear, copper orange with full white head that laces down the glass. Taste is moderate dank, earth and restrained citrus that is more pronounced as it warms. Semi-strong bittering balances well with the alcohol and malt to create a complex drink. The subdued citrus on the flavor makes this a great IPA addition to the lineup of winter beers.
