On tap at the beer revolution in Oakland. Mostly clear golden / orange coloured pour with a fading white head. Aroma is some sticky orange rind, pine, some sugars, some nelson sauvin like hop. Flavour is composed of spicy woody pine, resin, pale malts, pine wood. Palate is crisp. Some wood tannin, highish carbonation, nice semi drying finish. Pretty good. Assertive clean pear hey citrus bitterness.

On tap at Harry’s Hofbrau in Redwood City. Hops seem a little restrained here, with mostly grapefruit and slight dankness. Didn’t getting anything catty from the Simcoe. Hazy orange with full white head. Taste follows aroma, but is rather highly bitter. Mouthfeel was thin without malt support.
