Pours a pale yellow with just a little orange to it. It’s very cloudy. Just a mass of solid color. Big white head, lots of lacing. Fine foam. Smells of sweet hop flavors. Honeysuckle, sweet tangerines, sweet pineapple, sweet pine. Maybe a touch of wheat spice but I’m probably imagining it. Candied lemon peel. Some lime is coming out as it warms. It’s quite dry. More lime on the palate. Good hop flavor otherwise. Light bitterness. Clean. A little bit of wheat spice but this is squarely within Cellarmaker’s normal range. Little to no malt sweetness. Light feel. Effervescent. Solid light, mild, hoppy beer. I like Daphne a bit more but this is a fine replacement, if that’s the intention. It’s easy to drink and quite refreshing.
