Better than raspberry nightmares like you got the fruit without the thorns. Ruby pink pour with decent head. Very tangy finish but not excessively sour like some Crooked Stave beers. Tap at The Source.

A really RED beer! Decent pink-ish head. Some lacing. Fine intensity in the aroma. Medium body and a mellow carbonation level. Quite dry and acidic texture. Loads of raspberry here. Hides a lot of the brett feeling.

Bottle at What The Funk V. Pours a clear ruby with small pinkish white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is oak, raspberry, funk. Medium body, jammy raspberry, nice tartness, light acidity, really enjoyed this.

(On tap @ CBC 2016 Yellow Session, Copenhagen) Pours medium pink with a pale pink head. Aroma is sweet and tart, not heavily lactic, light funk, really all about fresh raspberries - surprisingly un-funky actually. Flavour is lactic lemon yoghurt, light raspberry, much less than on the palate, very little Brett funk, tart, refreshing, palate clearing. Rather light bodied, with low carbonation. Decently fruity, especially on the nose, but I don’t find it particularly involved.

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2016. Like how it looks and I like how it smells. Quite a blood red looking one, mild cloudy and a small pink head on the top. Lots of sour raspberries, some grass, a little bit of blueberries also perhaps, the oh-so-sour kind. Like it a lot, and it tastes pretty much the same. A little American vinegar perhaps. Soft oily in the mouth and soft bubbly on the prickling carbonation. Tasty! 13.05.2016

375ml bottle. Fantastic ruby colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, minimally pink-ish head. Very intense, clean, juicy, fruity raspberry aroma without leafy or earthy aspects, just sweet-ish and tart-ish fruitiness, minimally funky and citrusy undertones. Taste is dry, moderately tart, fruity and slightly funky, notes of raspberry, hints of barnyard funk, a touch of yeasty, peppery spiciness. Superb!

On tap at McKay's Taphouse, pours a hazy pinkish ruby red with a small pink-tinted head. Aroma brings out tons of fresh tart raspberries along with moderate brett. Flavour is quite complex, with lots of tart raspberries, brett funk, and light booze. Nice variant here - the raspberries add a wonderful complexity. Excellent.

375ml bottle from Boxbeers. Batch December 2015. Pours deep dark reddish with a light pink head. Aroma of tart raspberries, sourness, funky yeast, bretta and hints of oak. Taste is sour, sweetish and tart with loads of raspberry juice, funky yeast, hints of bretta and oak. Finish is aggressively sour, acidic, slightly sweet and tart with loads of raspberry juice and hints of vinegary bretta. Quite acidic and surprisingly vinegary for a Crooked Stave.
