Bottle pours out a purple color no head. Nose is sweet berries some cocoa notes and barrel. Taste is more of the nice sweet jammy honey berries and a little floral note on the end.

(On tap @ CBC 2016 Yellow session) Pours a reddish-tinged black tea colour. Smells rather sweet, blueberries, caramel, some bourbon, oak, dry chocolate and bitter cacao, some balancing acidity from the berries. Flavour is quite sweet and tart initially, with a seam of blueberry acidity cutting through sweet honey, before it’s dried up by the addition of unsweetened cacao nibs, lightly bitter, with some oak on the back end. Finish a bit reminiscent of a stout. Medium full oily body, no real carbonation. Nice balance of berry and cacao, barrel is a great paring for it. Lovely stuff.

[ As Superstition Demon Berry ].Clear medium red amber color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate honey, blackberry, floral, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate sweet and acidic with a average to long duration, honey sweet, balcberry tart, fruity - berry. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. [20160513]

Flavor is sweet, honey, wood, chocolate, cocoa, tart berries, blackberries, alcohol. Full body, flat carbonation, oily mouthfeel, warming alcoholic finish. 130516

CBC. Hazy deep ruby red without head. Aroma is sweet, honey, blackberries, light chocolate and alcohol. Flavor is extremely sweet. Sweet finish with lots of warming alcohol. Oily. 130516

[5/13/16] Draught sample at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2016. Yellow session. Deep red. Aroma of honey, berries, flowers. Great sweet and tart flavor with honey, lots of berries, wood, floral notes. Slightly boozy. Really good.
