Keg at Beachwood BBQ, Long Beach, 17/04/14. Clear golden orange with a moderate off white covering that dissipates to spotting and edgework. Nose is Belgian yeast esters, mandarin, light spice, orange peel, citric rinds. Taste comprises bitter orante, Belgian yeast twang, candied fruit peel, light spice, bread dough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stuff, more a Belgian ale than an IPA for me.

On tap at the source. Pours with a clear golden hued body with a lasting white head. Aromas are estery, light peppery phenols, tropical fruit, distinctive NZ hops, light banana esters, grassy. Flavors are very bready and malty, grassy, grainy, fruity, and estery. Lasting bitterness. Some alcohol. Dry finish with medium to lively carbonation.
