[ As Ashley Down Landlords Best ].Clear medium to dark orange amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light nutty, phenol notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, caramel, dark malt, light nutty. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141204]

Cask-conditioned at the Cornubia, Bristol 2/05/2012. Deep amber with a slight off-white head. Aroma of hedgerow fruit, some leafy hops and a touch of biscuity sweetness. Flavour had more, solid malts, berry fruits and a lengthy, bitter finish. Very good.
