Tasty

On tap at Novel. It pours a black color with a light tan head. The aroma is full with pumpernickel rye, light syrup with some cherry, pine and spice. The flavor is heavy with piney/floral bitterness and hints of dark roasted malt. It has a very full, oily body but it’s not sweet. There’s some strong tobacco ash near the finish. Decent. A bit too syrupy in the mouthfeel, but probably one of their better offerings.
