Cask at Head of Steam, Birmingham. Clear light gold with small white top, good lacing. This one had notes of biscuit, a mild yeasty sour stone fruit and a moderate bitter hop. Medium bodied, semi-drying. Pleasant enough but I think they need to up their game with pale cask offerings - too many are middle of the cycle lane.

Cask at the Coracle, Ironbridge. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a thin white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is malt, toffee, light funky barnyard yeast. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a smooth, slightly watery, malt, light toffee, light hop bitter palate. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.
