Bão Ðen, Black Storm, first brewed during a storm season of historic proportions with fierce winds and raging seas. A deep cacao infused stout with a hint of oats to give a well rounded mouthfeel. Perfect in fair or foul weather.

Draft at 7 Bridges Saigon, Le Thanh Tonh. Poured a murky dark brown colour with a thin off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt, light ashtray. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, with a smooth, roasty, liquorice, herbal, earthy, liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. No evidence of any chocolate or sweetness at all which is disappointing for a beer that’s sold as a chocolate stout.
