"Yan-Jing" is a high-ABV sour beer that undergoes barrel aging to soften its acidity. The robust aroma of smoked plum complements the fruity notes derived from wild yeast. A crisp malt character belies its high alcohol content, creating a hazy, yet beautiful landscape within the glass.

330ml bottle from Kiki Lalat, Ipoh, Malaysia. Poured a mostly clear medium amber colour with a short-lived, fizzy white head. The aroma is honey and oak. The flavour is strong sweet, with a smooth, rich, sweet honey, dry, oaky, light vinous palate. Over medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Nice, but a little too sweet for me to buy another.
