The Citra hop is the result of crossing two unknown hop varieties. At the beginning, this hybrid, or 'bâtard' of a hop, was not a popular child. Over time, brewers grew to love its muscular citrus flavors that not only helped popularize IPAs but also made it the most widely grown hop.
For this Double Dry-Hopped IPA, we doubled down on Citra, using it as the sole hop with late additions of Cryo Citra to maximize those amazing flavors and aromas. There's a strong citrus aroma to start, which then transitions into punchy notes of grapefruit and tropical fruit. This beer is thick and muscular; its citrus on steroids so buckle up.

Draft at Ren Min, Old Airport Road. Poured a slightly hazy medium orange amber colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, orange, herbal. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a rich, malty, herbal, floral, light toffee, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Grapefruit and tropical fruits? Not in my glass I’m afraid.
