Old rating - A 500ml bottle brought back from Copenhagen. A lovely strong Belgium ale with the 8.5% alcohol well hidden. Different bottle of beer in my home No. 1982

Bottled. Deep amber colour with a mediumsized longlasting white foamy head. Aroma is dried fruit, some alcohol, spices and mild toffeeish tones. Flavour is alcohol, dried fruits, some toffee, mild sugary elements with some caramel and mild burnt sugary tones too.

Sample @ Voldby Ølfestival 2016. Pours clear amber with a medium white head. Notes of dark fruits, sweet malt, esters, bananas.

Bottle. Pours hazy copper brown with stable beige head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with notes of yeast and mild touches of spice. Bitter flavour of hops with sweet notes of Belgian yeast and caramel malt and touches of spice. Bitter and estery aftertaste with touches of caramel. Warming alcohol presence. Well-balanced and decent.

Køge Øldag. Deep amber with a lasting white head. Aroma of dried fruit and dark sugar. Sweet, full bodied flavour with caramel, dark sugar, dried fruit and a touch of alcohol.

unclear reddish brown, smooth offwhite head. nutty malty begian yeasty slightly caramelly slightly spicy aroma. flavor is sweet malty with faint belgian yeasty notes, also some bitter fruit towards the end. a sweet flavored belgian inspired beer. i think i can taste wheat malts, and in fact i think there might be a bit too much of that to my liking. but i’m not sure..
