We’ve taken our time, We’ve worked on our recipe and now the time is near…..

On the Friday the 18th December our Lager is born, We have gone full Bavarian. We have abided by the Reinheistsgebot (Beer purity law), We have lagered the beer for 28 days at 3.4C and it is unpasteurized.

Why wait so long? people ask. Well being a real ale nut, It was hard for me to come to grips with making a Lager, I felt that the Carling people would not be turned. Then with the coming of lockdown we had more calls to fill the gap in our range, to bridge the divide between “us and them” and that’s when I decided to give it a go. I’m not going to say its the best Lager in the world, but we will keep working on it until its close.

Tap at the Silhill Brewery @ The Warwickshire Lad. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, light citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a light, crisp, fresh, malt, grainy, yeasty, woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.
