Cask at The Benjamin Satchwell, 08/02/2025.
Dark mahogany brown with a reddish glint and topped with a lasting creamy head, solid lacing ensues, proper cask looker in good condition.
Nose is dark malts, raisins, caramel, brown bread.
Taste comprises Soreen malt loaf, biscuit, candied orange peel.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow bitter edge doused with modest hop bitterness.
Solid cask affair if not quite pulling off what I'd expect from the style.

Cask at The White Swan, Solihull. Pours mahogany with smooth off white top. Quite a malty beer with some red fruit and a leafy hop. Smooth and easy to drink. To be honest it tasted like an average premium bitter so calling it a Red IPA is really pushing it.
