On tap at Pete’s Brass Rail and Carwash, Danville, CA. Pours a clear copper with big bubble tan head. The aroma sides on the malt side with sweet caramelized malts, a hint of biscuit and bread. Behind the malt sweetness is a sweet citrus hoppiness and a hint of spice. Smells like an amber ale. A nice smelling amber ale at that. The taste is similar with rich lightly roasted malts, sweet caramelized malts, mild breadiness and biscuit. Behind the malt bill resides mild citrus hop flavor that builds in bitterness as the finish approaches. Ends somewhat watery. Nice amber, OK IPA.
